Leadership From the Inside Out
I bring a rare combination of clinical insight and real-world leadership experience to this work. I am the founder of Mindful Soul Center for Wellbeing, a multi-clinician EMDR-focused group practice in southern New Jersey, and have spent years navigating the realities of leading therapists, building sustainable systems, and cultivating healthy practice culture.
I am also the co-founder of Syzygy Institute, a national training organization for IFS-Informed EMDR, which I built alongside Bruce Hersey, the developer of the model. In that role I have supported clinicians across the country at multiple stages of professional development, from licensure and certification through advanced integration and leadership.
I contributed a chapter to IFS-Informed EMDR: Creative and Collaborative Approaches (Routledge, 2025) and present nationally on the integration of IFS, EMDR, and therapist Self-leadership.
The consulting work I offer is grounded in this experience — not in a business framework imported from outside the field, but in years of leading inside it. I understand the specific texture of running a therapy practice: the ethical weight of other people’s livelihoods, the tension between care and accountability, and the internal work required to lead with integrity over time.
Over more than a decade of leadership, I have navigated the full reality of running a therapy practice: the uncertainty of COVID, hiring stalls and hiring surges, clinician turnover, insurance company pressures, EHR transitions, expansion into additional locations, and multiple administrative team restructures. These experiences shape the consulting I offer. The work is grounded not only in leadership theory, but in the lived complexity of sustaining a therapy organization over time.
